
Parts Counter Person

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control:
Assist with managing inventory levels, ordering procedures, and returns to ensure accuracy and minimize obsolescence.
Team Support:
Provide guidance and mentorship to parts counter associates and support staff.
Customer Service:
Ensure the highest quality of service is provided to internal (service department) and external customers, handling inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Operations & Efficiency:
Coordinate shipping/receiving efforts, maintain an organized storage area, and monitor daily reports for maximum effectiveness.
Sales & Profitability:
Work with management to implement sales promotions, track performance metrics, and contribute to departmental profit goals.
Compliance:
Help ensure all GM policies, warranty procedures, and safety standards are followed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an automotive parts department; dealership experience is required.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and electronic parts catalog systems (GM experience a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with dealership management systems (i.e., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion or similar) and Microsoft Office.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
