Senior Tax Manager, Private Client (HNW Advisory Focus)
Los Angeles, CA (Remote – Pacific Time Preferred) | $180K–$210K base + bonus (OTE $300K - $350K+)
Overview We’ve partnered with a planning-focused wealth firm supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, and they’re looking to add a Senior Tax Manager to their growing team.
This is a client-facing, advisory role — not a traditional compliance position. You’ll work alongside financial advisors to deliver high-impact tax strategies across complex client situations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead tax planning strategies for HNW/UHNW individuals and families
Advise on trust, estate, and wealth transfer planning
Support business owners with entity structuring and liquidity events
Review tax returns (prepared externally) for accuracy and strategy alignment
Partner directly with advisors on holistic planning conversations
Translate complex tax concepts into clear, actionable recommendations
What They’re Looking For
CPA required
10+ years of tax experience
Background in Private Client Services (PCS), wealth management, or family office
Experience with HNW individuals, trusts, and complex tax structures
Strong interest in planning and advisory vs. compliance
Comfortable working directly with clients and advisors
Why This Role
True advisory-first tax role (minimal compliance work)
Work alongside a highly collaborative wealth advisory team
Exposure to complex clients, business owners, and estate strategies
Fully remote with strong leadership visibility
Significant upside (OTE $300K - $350K+)
