Private Credit Associate / Senior Associate
Futura Search Partners is working with a high-growth private credit investment firm (> $5bn AUM) that focuses on mid-market senior secured and unitranche lending.
The Opportunity You will join a lean, execution-focused team responsible for underwriting and managing senior secured credit investments across the U.S. mid-market.
The role offers broad exposure across:
Unitranche / senior secured loans
New originations + add-on financings
Portfolio monitoring and ongoing credit work
Sponsor coverage and deal sourcing support
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite new investments including:
Business diligence, industry research, competitive positioning
Financial analysis, leverage and coverage assessment, downside scenarios
Structuring recommendations (pricing, covenants, docs, protections)
Build and maintain 3-statement models, sensitivities, and return analysis
Prepare investment committee materials and present key findings internally
Present to investment committee regularly
Lead or support third-party diligence processes (QoE, legal, insurance, market studies)
Work closely with internal teams and external counsel through documentation and closing
Support portfolio management
Build relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and management teams
Candidate Profile (Associate)
2–4 years of relevant experience in:
Private credit / direct lending
Investment banking (M&A / LevFin) with strong credit exposure
Strong financial modeling and credit analysis capability
High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication
Motivated by a fast-paced environment with real responsibility
Candidate Profile (Senior Associate)
4–7 years of relevant experience in:
Private credit / direct lending
Demonstrated experience leading diligence workstreams and driving execution
Strong judgment around downside protection and credit structuring
Comfortable owning IC materials and mentoring junior team members
Able to manage multiple live deals in parallel
