Director, HR Business Partner (Temporary – 16–18 Months)
Location: Houston, TX (100% Onsite – Southwest Campus)
Duration: Temporary (16–18 months; not a contract role)
Overview We are seeking a Director, HR Business Partner to serve as a strategic advisor and trusted collaborator to senior leadership within a large healthcare organization. This role will focus on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and leading initiatives across talent, culture, and change management.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong business acumen, leadership capability, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leadership, providing guidance on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness
Lead and support initiatives across change management, leadership development, engagement, and retention
Partner with business leaders and HR teams on employee relations, compensation, and performance management
Manage and develop HR team members, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Drive execution of HR strategies aligned to organizational goals
Design and deliver training, interventions, and programs to address workforce challenges
Analyze organizational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Participate in operational reviews and leadership discussions to ensure alignment and execution of key initiatives
Provide strategic input into workforce planning and human capital optimization
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and promote a high-performance, patient-centered culture
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of experience in HR business partnership or client-facing HR roles
5+ years of people leadership experience
Strong experience in change management, talent strategy, and organizational development
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive business outcomes
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a related field
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent)
Experience in complex, large-scale organizations (healthcare experience a plus)
