The Team located in Montreal, the Mattel Building Sets Campus is a creative hub focused on developing Mattel Brick Shop and Mega Bloks products for a global audience. The campus brings together cross‑functional teams who collaborate to support innovation, creativity, and the evolution of iconic building brands. The Opportunity Our Brand Design team is responsible for creating, developing, and producing innovative communication strategies that support our products across multiple platforms, including packaging, marketing, and e‑commerce. Within this team, the Associate Copywriter plays a key role in shaping product storytelling by developing clear, engaging, and consumer‑focused written content. We are looking for an energetic and self‑motivated Associate Copywriter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Design teams to deliver effective product communication aligned with brand standards.
What Your Impact Will Be
Write and develop product copy for packaging, e‑commerce, product names, and supporting marketing materials.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand product features, objectives, and consumer needs.
Present copy concepts and naming ideas for review and approval.
Proofread and revise content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
Manage timelines, approvals, and revisions while meeting production milestones.
What We’re Looking For
Diploma in writing, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
1 to 3 years of professional copywriting experience in branding, packaging, marketing, or consumer products.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Creative thinker with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Interest in consumer products, toys, and brand storytelling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working within established systems and workflows.
Bilingualism (asset).
Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
