The Business Development Representative is responsible for creating and developing new client opportunities through

high-volume outreach, cold calling, territory canvassing, networking, and in-person visits . You will introduce Jani-King's services, identify potential facility needs, and schedule

qualified, high-value appointments

for our sales executives.

In this role, you are the

engine of the sales pipeline

— bridging the gap between first contact and closed business. Each day combines strategic planning with consistent execution, from mapping prospecting routes across

the greater Philadelphia market

to engaging decision-makers and documenting activity in our CRM. Success requires persistence, confidence, organization, and the ability to manage aggressive activity goals while maintaining a professional brand presence.

Key Responsibilities High-Impact Prospecting : High-Volume Prospecting — Execute disciplined daily outreach to targeted businesses through cold calls, in-person visits, and networking events. Consistently meet or exceed daily and weekly activity benchmarks designed to drive measurable pipeline growth across the greater Philadelphia territory.

Engage Decision-Makers : Introduce Jani-King's services, ask discovery questions, and determine fit. Build credibility quickly and position Jani-King as a trusted partner from the first interaction.

Territory Management : Own and manage your assigned territory like a business. Strategically plan routes across greater Philadelphia territory, prioritize high-opportunity accounts, and maximize face-to-face engagement to increase appointment conversion rates.

Event Representation : Attend local business events, expos, and chamber of commerce functions across Philadelphia to represent Jani-King and generate leads.

Pipeline & Results Appointment Scheduling : Secure qualified, high-value appointments for the sales team, ensuring decision-maker engagement and clear next steps. Accurately document all activity in CRM with accountability to weekly kept and qualified appointment targets.

Results Tracking : Maintain detailed records of outreach, conversations, and follow-up strategy. Monitor performance against clearly defined goals and take ownership for consistently delivering above-target production.

Relationship Building : Develop strong, lasting connections with potential customers through consistent, value-driven communication. Revisit prior contacts, inbound leads, and event connections to keep the pipeline active.

Performance Focus : Operate with urgency and discipline. Manage your time, pipeline, and follow-up strategy to hit aggressive appointment and revenue-impact targets — understanding that activity directly drives income and advancement.

What We're Looking For We are specifically seeking candidates who have demonstrated consistent production in performance-driven environments.

Prior sales, prospecting, canvassing, or business development experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed activity-based goals and performance metrics (calls, visits, appointments set)

Comfortable with high-volume cold outreach — both phone and face-to-face

Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable style

Proven ability to manage a territory independently and maintain structured daily activity

Experience using a CRM system to track activity and pipeline performance a plus

Highly motivated, organized, self-starter with strong follow-through

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance coverage for daily travel

Performance-Based Compensation

$26/hour base to start + higher base after 60 days (based on results) + uncapped monthly commission & bonuses

No ceiling on performance upside — activity drives income. Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, PTO + company cell phone, mileage & toll reimbursement

This position is based at our

Jani-King Philadelphia Regional Office : 1008 W. 9th Avenue, Suite 130 King of Prussia, PA 19406 You'll work in a dynamic setting that blends in-office collaboration with active fieldwork across the

greater Philadelphia region . Some days begin in the field; others include time in the office planning routes, researching target accounts, logging CRM activity, and aligning with leadership on strategy.
