We are looking for a strong Personal Lines Account Manager who knows how to manage a book, advise clients, and deliver a high level of service without constant oversight.
This is not an entry-level role. You will be stepping into an active book of business and will be expected to take ownership, make decisions, and build relationships that last.
We are privately owned, which means no layers of red tape. You will work directly with ownership and have the ability to make decisions and move quickly.
What You Will Do
Manage and retain an existing personal lines book of business
Navigate complex market conditions, including non-renewals and placement challenges
Strategically remarket accounts and determine optimal placement across standard, E&S, and CA Fair Plan options
Maintain awareness of carrier appetite, underwriting trends, and market shifts
Support clients during a claims process as needed
Advise clients on coverage, gaps, and appropriate solutions
Respond to client requests promptly and accurately
Build long-term relationships that drive retention and referrals
What We Are Looking For
3+ years of personal lines experience with real account management responsibility
Strong understanding of coverage, not just processing
Ability to manage a book independently and stay organized under pressure
Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal
Confidence working directly with clients and making coverage recommendations
Experience with agency management systems (EPIC, TAM, or similar preferred)
Why This Role Stands Out
Established agency with a strong reputation and long-term client relationships
Support team in place so you are not buried in administrative work
Flexibility with hybrid or fully remote structure depending on experience
Clear expectations and a team that values accountability and performance
If you are someone who takes ownership of your accounts, understands coverage, and wants to be part of a team that values doing things the right way, we would like to connect.
