
Contract Specialist

What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to join our dynamic Contracts team. This non‑attorney role focuses on commercial execution, operational excellence, and contract lifecycle management for Triton’s global equipment leasing operations. The position involves drafting and managing equipment leasing contracts, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, ensuring adherence to company policy, and managing the full contract lifecycle—including approvals, execution, filing, and amendments/renewals.
The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, technologically proficient—particularly with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and AI‑enabled tools—and possess strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive requests from marketers, prepare contractual documentation for deals, and provide timely responses to contract‑related requests.
Collaborate with the Legal department to prepare non‑standard legal clauses and tailored contract requests.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of Triton’s deal structures, product lines, and commercial objectives.
Collaborate with the Billing department, as needed, to ensure accurate and timely customer billing.
Perform additional projects as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline). Paralegal certification is a plus.
1‑2 years of experience in an in‑house contracts, legal operations, or contract administration role.
Experience in equipment leasing, shipping, logistics, or comparable asset leasing, finance, or B2B commercial contracting preferred.
Proficiency with contract templates, CLM systems, and AI‑enabled tools.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
Demonstrated commitment to building a long‑term career in contracts and commercial operations.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
Highly responsive, organized, and detail‑oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must reside within 50 miles of the Purchase, NY office.
