Position Summary Senior Manager, Demand Strategy & Forecasting operationalizes the strategic development, integration, and maintenance of short‑, mid‑, and long‑term demand forecasts. This hybrid role based in Battle Creek, Michigan serves as a key partner to demand strategy and commercial planning, owning the integrity and integration of the enterprise demand signal across all horizons to support IBP, financial commitments, and downstream planning decisions.

Responsibilities

Drive the end‑to‑end operational process for developing and maintaining demand forecasts across the short‑, mid‑, and long‑term horizons.

Implement planning frameworks at the portfolio level by translating broader commercial strategies and market trends into actionable, data‑driven forecast models and manage the underlying assumptions that feed into the consensus process.

Directly manage and execute complex analytical models (e.g., SCIM, category trend models) and function as the technical subject‑matter expert to pressure‑test signal sufficiency, enhancing the reliability of the baseline forecast through rigorous data validation.

Maintain the 3‑ to 5‑year Long‑Range Demand Plan, ensuring it accurately reflects current capacity alignment and financial outlooks, and synthesize scenario‑based data to support executive‑level decision‑making.

Gather and analyze data building blocks to evaluate how demand signals are performing against foundational assumptions and prepare structured technical inputs and “what‑if” scenario views for Executive Demand Reviews.

Analyze forecast accuracy, volatility, and market dynamics to generate clear, data‑backed reports, identify specific risks and opportunities, and provide the Senior Director with the technical evidence needed to influence business decisions.

Function as the primary operational partner for Sales, Finance, and Supply teams to ensure tactical alignment between demand signals and financial commitments, resolving day‑to‑day planning discrepancies across functions.

Partner strategically with the Data Systems team to enable and optimize Long‑Range Planning capabilities within SAP IBP, and lead the design and implementation of governance frameworks required to transition 3‑year strategic plans into operational horizons (1‑18 months).

Act as a role model for demand planning best practices, reinforcing standard work, disciplined execution, and a fact‑based, one‑number mindset across the planning organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, statistics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

8+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, or related functions.

Demonstrated experience leading portfolio‑level forecasting processes in a complex, cross‑functional environment.

Strong understanding of supply and demand planning drivers, KPIs, and IBP connections.

Advanced proficiency in SAP (IBP or similar) and forecasting tools; strong analytical and data manipulation skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Proven ability to lead, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders using data‑driven insights.

Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities.

Preferred

Experience integrating demand planning activities across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning.

Prior experience within Kellogg or a similar CPG environment.

Experience with trade promotion planning, in‑market analytics, and demand shaping.

Experience with Circana, Nielsen, or similar market research data.

Familiarity with BW reporting, CRM, or other advanced SAP applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $137,600 – $172,000, subject to role, level, skills, experience, and local market conditions.
