Clerk Receptionist
The purpose of the class to provide clerical support to assigned department. Receives and records data into information system. Answers the telephone; provides accurate information to callers and/or forwards calls to appropriate personnel; takes messages as needed; greets and assists office visitors. Receives and responds to requests for records and information; provides information in accordance with department policies and procedures. Provides professional and courteous customer service at all times. Performs general clerical work as required, including but not limited to typing reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, entering and retrieving computer data, sending and receiving faxes, maintaining logs and lists, etc. Assists department staff with special projects. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Requires high school diploma, GED or specialized vocational training.
