Associate Director (Academic ASAP Advising Manager) Position Details

Establish semester block programs and manage and supervise the scheduling of all other academic support activities such as tutoring and workshops.

In collaboration with other staff, supervise planning and implementation of ASAP summer programming, including summer course taking, workshops, and the ASAP Summer Institute, and other special student activities.

Assist Financial Aid, Registrar, and Bursar with evaluating student eligibility, finalizing registration, and verifying tuition charges.

Assist the ASAP Director with required reporting and collaborate with other college units.

Monitor and assess data reports on a regular basis to ensure movement towards ASAP success benchmarks and to determine student support needs.

Oversee advisement and delivery of comprehensive support services to ASAP students.

Perform related duties as assigned by the Director or Designee.

Essential duties require in-person work on campus.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in an appropriate discipline and six years related experience.

Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing students from diverse urban backgrounds.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, within the department and with faculty and other administrators.

Strong organization, project management, communication, and facilitation skills.

Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of student activities.

Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency managing multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines with changing priorities.

Flexibility working with faculty, administrators, students and external stakeholders.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite, and aptitude to learn new systems as needed.

Availability to work evening and weekend hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise ASAP advisors in delivery of comprehensive support services to ASAP students.

Oversee timely entry of student enrollment and program contact tracking data into the ASAP database.

Monitor and assess data reports with advisors for accuracy to ensure movement towards ASAP success benchmarks and determine student support needs.

Oversee ongoing training and professional development for ASAP advisement staff.

Monitor, disseminate, and ensure compliance with changes in college advisement procedures and academic policies.

Supervise planning and implementation of ASAP summer programming, including summer course taking, workshops, and the ASAP summer institute and other special student activities.

Assist the ASAP Director with required reporting and collaboration with other college units.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits $90,838 - $102,408; commensurate with education and experience.
