Overview

As a Senior Underwriting Assistant, you will make a vital contribution within the Underwriting Support Unit of our product field operations by working with underwriters and CoE partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions whilst handling some of our complex accounts. This role is in our Trade Credit business line. Responsibilities

Partnering with regional underwriters and/or more senior UW Support employees in the end-to-end processing of new and renewal business. Evaluating new and renewal submissions against prescribed criteria to determine completeness. Identifying and resolving account alerts and blocks during the submission process to avoid account conflicts. Performing data analytics, remodeling when necessary, referral documentation preparation and completion, as well as form checklist and working approval. Assist with training and oversight of less experienced support staff. Qualifications

2+ years of related insurance experience and/or training, or an equivalent relevant combination of education and experience. The ability to work closely with underwriters and CoE partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. The attention to detail it takes to ensure accurate documentation. Compensation and Benefits

For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $50,000 - $57,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
