
Physical Therapist Center Director

Overview
As the Center Therapy Director, you will be a vital member of our patient care team, playing a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients. You will supervise staff therapists and deliver rehabilitative services for disabled, injured, and diseased patients within the center, aligning with Concentra Medical Centers’ Injury Process Management, rehabilitation philosophy in occupational medicine, and relevant policies, practices, and regulations.
Responsibilities
Spend 100% of time in the center providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
Manage key clinical center metrics provided by Clinical Analytics and hold therapists accountable.
Demonstrate all components of the Physical Therapy Guidebook and the Perfect PT visit.
Manage clinical outcomes and address outlier cases with staff therapists.
Implement clinical workflows to optimize patient capture, referral processing, and scheduling.
Execute therapy plans for each patient with a focus on early intervention and same-day evaluation.
Create a professional and collaborative working environment that promotes teamwork, quality, exceptional outcomes, and patient safety.
Work with the DTO to identify clinical improvement opportunities.
Foster relationships with employers, referral sources, and payer groups through routine communications and engagement opportunities.
Master use of clinical systems for efficient documentation, appropriate coding, charge capture, and follow‑through on all patient care orders.
Ensure compliance with individual state practice act rules, regulations, and WC regulations.
Drive patient and client experience and satisfaction metrics.
Participate in CLT meetings with COD and CMD to improve quality, patient safety, outlier management, and support the center’s business growth.
Maintain and cultivate relationships with center clients and payers, responding to requests within 24 hours.
Work with DTO and CLT to manage clinical and support staffing levels and proficiencies to optimize patient satisfaction, workflows, and efficiencies.
Promote, cultivate, and exemplify Orange Book values among all center colleagues.
Develop colleague success through talent life cycle support for staff therapists and PTSS within the center.
Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient and colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, and recognition.
Lead and promote collaboration within CLT and across disciplines to achieve clinical and business outcomes.
Be accountable for understanding and input on center financial drivers (GRV, PI, new injuries, TAT) to achieve the annual business plan.
Promote center initiatives and workflows consistent with those in other centers.
Possess financial awareness and provide input to the center budget and key business metrics.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science or advanced degree in Physical Therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy) from an accredited college or university.
Must meet licensure requirements of the jurisdiction.
Customarily at least two years of demonstrated clinical experience.
