Entry-Level Accounting/Finance Specialist

We’re looking for a motivated
recent graduate
who is ready to launch their career in
Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate–related operations . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants hands‑on experience, professional mentorship, and exposure to real‑world financial processes within a stable and supportive organization.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with numbers, learning systems, and building a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Onsite: Birmingham AL $45,000 - $55,000
What You’ll Do You’ll support the finance/accounting team with daily operations that may include:
Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preparing and maintaining financial reports and spreadsheets
Reconciling accounts and reviewing transactions for accuracy
Supporting month‑end and reporting processes
Entering and validating financial data
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, or lease/real estate‑related reporting (depending on department)
Collaborating with internal teams to gather financial information
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree
in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field (recent grads encouraged to apply)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Solid Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, formatting; pivot tables a plus)
Comfortable working with numbers, data, and deadlines
Strong organizational and communication skills
Internship, part‑time, or academic project experience is a plus—but
not required
Determining compensation for this role at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
