Job Marine Electrician About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying a variety of shipboard electrical and mechanical systems. You will support integrated systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure equipment reliability across multiple marine platforms. This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys technical problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities

Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify marine electrical and mechanical equipment.

Perform maintenance and provide technical support for shipboard systems, subsystems, and related software.

Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to quickly and accurately resolve issues.

Interface professionally with customers and supervise subcontractors when necessary.

Develop, interpret, and follow technical documents such as controlled work packages, technical drawings, and formal work procedures.

Prepare schedules, generate reports, and brief customers and management on job progress.

Perform additional tasks outside of core specialty to assist with installations or project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in marine or ship repair, including work with valves, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel components.

2 years of related experience.

Hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural, electrical, and mechanical shipboard systems.

Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measurement devices.

Strong ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Solid understanding of safety practices and quality control procedures.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00‑$28.00/hr.
