Job Summary

Provide daily support and coordination of activities related to the compliance with Title II of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal, state and local accessibility laws and policies system-wide; including reporting, program development and implementation, and outreach activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Create and maintain accurate, confidential ADA case files and centralized tracking system to monitor employee requests, monitor timelines and outcomes to use in periodic reports. Support the interactive process with employees, including timely communication, evaluation of employee accommodation requests, implementation of approved accommodations and ongoing dialogue. Serve as central point of contact for ADA inquiries regarding processes and data. Communicate and assist employees with the process of requesting and receiving approved accommodation. Track, monitor, communicate and close out ADA requests in collaboration with Benefits. Develop and disseminate marketing campaigns to publicize HCC’s ADA programs and resources. Verify accuracy and completeness of related documents and forms in compliance with ADA program guidelines. Research and stays informed on best practices and trends in accessibility solutions. Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required. QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Public Administration, Education or Human Resources related field. 2 years related experience required. Licensing & Certification

Valid Texas Driver License. Special Skills

MS Office Programs. Information Management Systems. American with Disabilities Act as Amended and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and its application in higher education settings. Competencies
