Overview GCG’s Custom Engineered Solutions division is seeking a Quoting Manager to lead a team responsible for developing accurate, timely, and commercially sound quotes for cable assembly and engineered product solutions. This role sits at the center of the quote-to-order process—balancing team leadership, technical review, and cross-functional coordination to support both new and existing business.

In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day quoting activity while remaining close to the work—reviewing complex RFQs, supporting team development, and ensuring alignment with engineering, operations, and customer requirements. This is a strong fit for a leader who brings both people management experience and hands‑on quoting expertise in a manufacturing or engineered solutions environment. This position is based in Leominster, MA and follows a hybrid work arrangement with a regular in‑office presence.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop a team of quoting specialists responsible for supporting new and existing business opportunities

Manage the end-to-end quoting process, ensuring speed, accuracy, and profitability

Review and validate complex quotes, including pricing, labor assumptions, and bill of materials (BOM) structures

Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to assess feasibility, clarify requirements, and align on production capabilities

Support Customer Service and Sales in evaluating incoming RFQs and determining fit within operational capabilities

Collaborate with other GCG locations to align quoting practices and share best practices across the network

Maintain a focus on margin integrity by ensuring quotes reflect accurate cost structures and business objectives

Support process improvements, including continuous improvement initiatives and quoting workflow optimization

Provide customer-facing support as needed, including participation in meetings to review project scope and requirements

Contribute to special projects and broader business initiatives as needed

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; relevant quoting management experience considered in lieu of degree

3–5+ years of experience in estimating, quoting, or cost analysis within a manufacturing or engineered products environment; experience in wire, cable, or related industrial markets strongly preferred

Prior experience leading or supervising a team, with a focus on coaching, development, and performance management

Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements

Working knowledge of cable assembly processes and materials preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required

Experience working with ERP systems and managing item and BOM setup

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and process standardization is a plus
