
Community Development Representative

Position Overview
We are seeking a Community Development Representative to join our sales team at SEH. Responsibilities
Develop grants and funding strategy for public infrastructure projects on behalf of clients and in collaboration with SEH’s planning team and other SEH practice groups. Prepare high-quality outcomes-driven funding applications (local, state, and federal). Serve as Project Manager for grant assistance contracts; manage scope, schedule, and budget. Assist municipal clients with the administration of successfully funded projects. Organize and track projects requiring funding, as well as local, state, federal funding programs. Support business development activities with funding assessment and opportunities. Demonstrate general knowledge of federal policy and grant guidelines. Prepare community plans (e.g., comprehensive plans, strategic plans, and redevelopment plans), economic development tools and work with governmental agencies to implement recommendations from the plan. Lead public engagement exercises. Research, collect, verify, and analyze data from various sources for use in planning documents. Prepare and present land use planning documents, economic development, environmental, and transportation planning reports. Essential Qualifications
Ability to effectively and concisely communicate and present information to clients and SEH teams. Grant strategy and writing experience for government programs. Development of agendas, meeting materials, and talking points in preparation for meetings. Development of high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key objectives and facilitate discussion across multiple stakeholders. Ability to work well with multiple deadlines and flexibility to adapt to unanticipated client requests for grant development support. Development of quality and timely deliverables. Proven people management experience, leading diverse teams. Participation in business development activities. General project and task management. Participation in internal and external grants management-related training. Experience with GIS mapping. Residency in Northern Florida or Southern Georgia. Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) associate degree from an accredited college in a related field. Five (5) years of experience in community planning, economic development, or municipal project funding/grant writing. Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Ability to read, understand and interpret technical written materials, plans, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and engineering plans. Location

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $82,000 and $110,000 based on skill set and experience. Benefits
