Freight Broker / Customer Sales Representative

Are you a motivated freight professional with a loyal customer base and the drive to run your own show? Sargent Logistics is looking for an experienced Customer Sales Representative to join our growing brokerage division.

We provide the back-office support, the carrier network, and the financial stability; you bring the book of business and the grit to scale it. This is a high-autonomy, high-reward position designed for "hunters" who prefer a commission-heavy structure over a capped salary.

As a Sales Agent, you'll:

Develop and cultivate strong relationshipswith new and existing clients to drive sales growth.

Leverage your existing book of businessto secure new opportunities.

Provide exceptional customer serviceand ensure client satisfaction.

Negotiate rates and termsto achieve profitable deals.

Identify and pursue new business opportunitiesthrough networking and industry events.

Leverage Your Network:Utilize your existing book of business to secure consistent freight lanes.

Prospect & Close:Identify, qualify, and pitch new shippers to expand your portfolio.

Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for your customers, ensuring 10x service and proactive communication.

Market Analysis:Stay ahead of industry trends and capacity shifts to provide accurate pricing and solutions.

Collaboration:Work alongside our dispatch and carrier procurement teams to ensure every load is moved efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

Proactively reach out to potential clientsthrough visits, phone calls, and emails to generate new business, etc.

Collaborate with the dispatch teamto ensure a smooth transition of new clients.

Identify and pursue new business opportunitiesthrough networking and industry events.

Provide exceptional customer serviceand build strong relationships with clients.

Negotiate rates and termsto secure profitable deals.

Utilize company systemsfor customer management and tracking.

What We’re Looking For:

A Customer Sales Representativewith own active, portable book of business.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) or freight brokerage sales.

Deep understanding of FTL, LTL.

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Proven track record of sales success

Tech Savvy, who is familiarity with TMS platforms and load boards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A self-starter mindset, who doesn't need a manager looking over their shoulder to hit their numbers.
