
Strategy Implementation Manager

Position Summary
We are looking for a Strategy Manager to join our vibrant and growing Strategy team. The Strategy team works closely with senior leadership and stakeholders across BMC Health System to own and advance high-priority initiatives that transform our system for the better. The Strategy Manager will play a very visible role in leading change at BMC Health System by managing key strategic projects, engaging and collaborating with clinical and operational leaders, conducting analyses that shape decisions, and implementing changes to system operations. The portfolio includes advancing health equity, opening new lines of patient service, improving mental health and addiction treatment services, scaling programs that address social determinants of health, shaping strategy for value-based care and population health programs, driving health plan performance, integrating newly acquired hospitals, and ensuring financial sustainability.

Designing and executing a high-priority initiative to close inequities in maternal health outcomes by race.
Standing up an integration process for two hospitals that BMCHS is acquiring.
Helping launch our system’s community-based vaccine delivery program capable of delivering 20K doses per week in socially vulnerable neighborhoods around Boston.
Opening a novel housing and clinical services facility for people experiencing homelessness with co-occurring substance use disorders.
Articulating our system’s approach for delivering care management and coordination services in the next phase of MassHealth’s ACO program.
Producing a growth plan to help BMC expand high-impact, high-value clinical programs on its campus.
Interfacing with MassHealth leadership on overall system financing and delivery system reform.
Supporting one of the performance drivers for our Medicaid ACO population health model (e.g., quality).
Organizing health plan, hospital and ACO relationships with ACO partners.
Driving forward partnership discussions with other providers or payors.
Optimizing inpatient clinical operations to ensure we can treat patients who show up in our ER.
Leading partnership with strategic partners (e.g., Healthcare for the Homeless) to better care for highly vulnerable patient populations.
Core Duties
Works under the direction of one or more Strategy Directors on 1-2 projects at a time.
Facilitates discussions with stakeholders to drive forward project objectives and overcome barriers.
Conducts analyses (Excel) and communicates insights (PowerPoint).

Knowledge and Skills

Expert quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills to structure and carry out analyses.
Strong interpersonal skills to navigate competing stakeholder interests.
Ability to work independently and with matrixed teams.
Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Compensation Range $71,500.00 – $104,000.00 (based on the minimum job qualifications). Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, and market competitiveness and includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), discretionary annual bonuses, merit increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family well‑being.
NOTE This range is based on Boston-area data and is subject to modification based on geographic location.
