
Senior Purchasing Coordinator

We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Coordinator to manage and optimize purchasing activities supporting manufacturing operations. The role analyzes purchasing and inventory data, maintains accurate pricing, lead times, safety stock levels, and supplier performance, resolves purchase order issues, ensures timely material availability, and drives continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Analyze and track purchasing data to maintain current pricing, lead times, safety stock levels, and delivery performance (30%).
Coordinate materials, data, and information from manufacturing; reconcile purchase order issues throughout the process (25%).
Review material requirements in SAP, place appropriate orders, evaluate supplier performance, and communicate critical changes or expediting needs (20%).
Maintain inventory and purchasing records; prepare and provide established and ad‑hoc metrics and reports to monitor departmental success (15%).
Participate in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned (10%).
Desired Skills and Experience Minimum Experience
5–7 years’ experience in purchasing or finance.
Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, ERP, and reporting systems.
Relationship building: Ability to build and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Teamwork: Work cross‑functionally with internal teams toward a common goal of providing world‑class customer service.
Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules.
Ability to adjust strategy or approach in response to the demands of a situation.
High attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Self‑starter who can work autonomously.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or equivalent training and experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Frequent sitting, talking, hearing; occasionally walking, standing, pushing or lifting up to 25 lbs.
Professional office environment with standard office equipment.
Travel Domestic travel up to 5% of the time.
Work Status & Location Full-time, exempt position located in Riverside, CA.
Relocation Relocation not available for this position.
Pay $71,990 - $93,500 per year.
