Cinematography Prompting Specialist (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for film and camera professionals to help train next-generation AI video models. As a Cinematography Prompting Specialist, you'll watch short video clips and translate what you see into precise, technically rich shot descriptions — the kind only someone with a trained eye can write.
Your work directly shapes how AI understands and generates visual content. If you've spent time behind a camera, in an edit suite, or studying film, this is a rare opportunity to put that expertise to work in the AI space.
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: Flexible — work on your own schedule
What You’ll Do
Watch short video clips and identify key shots, transitions, and visual moments
Describe framing, camera movement, blocking, lighting, and composition using accurate film terminology
Write structured prompts that capture the look, feel, and intent of each shot
Reference relevant stylistic influences or visual approaches when applicable
Follow internal templates for both shot-level and sequence-level descriptions
Distinguish between effective and ineffective prompts and provide examples when needed
Maintain consistent terminology, depth, and quality across all tasks
Must-Have & Who You Are
Background in cinematography, camera operation, film editing, or film studies
Ability to describe shots using professional film language and technical terminology
Strong eye for visual detail — composition, lens characteristics, movement, and lighting
Clear, consistent written communication across repetitive tasks
Nice To Have
Experience writing prompts for AI video or image generation tools
Professional credits as a DP, camera operator, director, or editor
Familiarity with AI training workflows or data annotation
Why Join Us
Work on cutting-edge AI projects shaping the future of video generation
Fully remote and asynchronous — work when and where it suits you
Freelance flexibility with meaningful, intellectually engaging work
Contribute to AI development that directly benefits the creative and film community
Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
