About the Role
An Analyst serves as a pivotal contributor on our Capital Markets team. Your role ensures that each loan fulfills investor and due diligence standards, that all documentation is accurate and complete post‑closing, and that the file flows smoothly through investor delivery. Your analysis, organization, and communication will enable confident, timely sales and minimize investor rejections.
Key Responsibilities
Audit credit, underwriting, and closing documents post‑funding to verify completeness, consistency, and compliance with investor requirements
Identify missing, incorrect, or inconsistent documents/data; request corrections or supplements and track their resolution
Establish and maintain organized digital loan folders; prepare the full loan package for review by due diligence vendors and investors
Interface with due diligence firms: review their findings, reconcile exceptions, fulfill all conditions for sale, and coordinate re‑submission
Track and log in real time the status of each loan in your loan management system (e.g., where in the sale pipeline, outstanding conditions, deadlines)
Produce internal reports, dashboards, or status summaries to inform leadership or sales teams of bottlenecks, loan quality, and delivery timelines
Work cross‑functionally with originations, underwriting, closings, legal, and compliance to resolve discrepancies, elevate issues, and ensure seamless file flow
Recommend improvements to checklists, workflows, or controls based on audit trends and patterns of deficiencies
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of mortgage operations, loan delivery, post‑closing review, secondary market, or related experience
Advanced knowledge of underwriting, credit, title, closing documents, and investor delivery standards.
High attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies, gaps, or risk exposures
Excellent organizational, project management, and multi‑tasking skills (handling many loan files at different stages)
Strong written and verbal communication skills to request, explain, and follow up with internal and external parties
Proficiency in loan origination/servicing systems, document management, and tracking workflows
Sound judgment and escalation instincts—knowing when to push issues upward or negotiate resolutions
Performance Qualifications
Experience in secondary market investor delivery, knowledge of due diligence protocols, or exposure to capital markets
Performance Metrics / Success Indicators
Percentage of loans that pass due diligence without exceptions or rejections
Time (in days) from closing to investor delivery
Average time to resolve document or condition issues
Accuracy of status tracking vs. actual file state
Reduction in investor rejections or corrections over time
Throughput (number of loans processed per period) while maintaining quality
