Job Overview Mercedes-Benz North America (MBNAC) is the shared services organization for operating entities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. The organization provides core fiscal oversight in financial, tax, treasury, legal, external affairs, security, audit, investigations, HR, and payroll support for over 15 entities and approximately 14,000 employees in the region.
The Treasury USA & Canada division manages Treasury activities in the United States and Canada, accessing capital markets such as commercial paper, ABS, EMTN and private placement, and maintains in-house bank cash pools. Treasury responsibilities include liquidity reporting, funding plans, corporate finance tasks such as monitoring subsidiary capital structure, M&A projects, trade finance and guarantees.
Support the demand notes program, which involves retail debt securities issued through Reg. D Section 506 private placement to third‑party investors maintaining online accounts and receiving interest. The role focuses on investor support, relationship management, compliance, operational management, program reporting and inter‑departmental coordination.
Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day operations of the demand notes program by verifying enrollment, responding to customer inquiries and completing ad‑hoc assignments (40%).
Collaborate with Bank and Verification vendors to address investor concerns and improve processes; work with marketing vendor to maintain up‑to‑date website information (15%).
Ensure investor compliance with SEC and internal guidelines governing the program (15%).
Provide marketing and product‑growth support as needed (15%).
Prepare internal reporting on demand notes budget, investors, facility size, account dynamics and behaviors (10%).
Engage in professional development and training opportunities (5%).
Qualifications Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided. Minimum 5 years of overall work experience is required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, treasury operations, financial markets or risk management.
Experience in a financial institution, corporate treasury or regulatory environment is highly preferred.
Experience with financial platforms such as Global Treasury Systems (GTS), online banking software, SAP, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include Business Management, Computer/Information Science, Economics, Finance, International Relations/Business and Mathematics.
