Job Description Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio Homeland Security • Report In Location – 2855 W. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235 • Work Hours – 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, various working hours, Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
Generate and disseminate time‑sensitive and emerging cyber threat/trend information and/or intelligence to all homeland security partners
Review and analyze information/data from public and private sources, field organizations and/or agencies
Monitor and evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information and sources
Advise and assist agencies with priority intelligence requirements, target and problem areas
Recognize trends of terrorist, emergency management or criminal operations

Qualifications
36 months experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical and/or statistical research techniques
Or completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs or related field; and 12 months experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical and/or statistical research techniques
Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment
Supplemental Information
Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment: must obtain LEADS certification and renew biannually
Some positions must obtain and maintain secret level federal security clearance
May require some travel and working hours will include nights, weekends and holidays based on operational need
Requires valid driver’s license to operate state‑owned vehicle or own transportation
Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a federal Secret level security clearance
Position is essential; duties are critical during a public safety emergency and will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency
Background Check Information BCI and FBI fingerprint check, background check, polygraph examination may be required for all selected applicants. Comparative analysis and/or drug test may also be required.
