WGL - TIMP Compliance Specialist
Washington Gas has an immediate need for someone to lead the implementation and execution of our (TIMP) Transmission Integrity Management Program compliance activities required by applicable regulations (DOT 192 and OSHA PSM). Responsible for maintaining and updating the integrity management program plan, ensuring all compliance related activities are tracked, measured, documented and conducted in accordance with the IMP plan and applicable regulations. Works continuously to improve asset class system safety and reliability.
You Will:
Play a lead role in preparation for compliance audits and commission inspections of the integrity management program and represent the TIMP program during inspections.
Update TIMP standards and maintain the Integrity Management Plan.
Ensure the program is up-to-date with the most recent regulations and industry practices.
Manage integrity assessment projects, typically including in-line inspection projects and/or direct assessment projects.
Capture performance measures such as incidents, maintenance activities, surveys and inspections of transmission assets.
Manage the development and implementation of corrective actions and preventive strategies for the TIMP Program.
Support inter-departmental initiatives with DIMP, SIMP, and FIMP programs.
Manage special projects as assigned, including in-line inspection readiness projects and related planning, permitting and construction regarding robotics ILI; other projects may include valve studies, RCV analysis, cyclic fatigue studies, etc.
Review and finalize integrity assessment reports and ensure compliance with Integrity Management schedules as outlined in the TIMP plan.
You Have:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field is preferred.
5+ years in the natural gas industry required, including 2 years in integrity management preferred.
NACE Certificates for Corrosion and for Integrity Management preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects.
Working knowledge of DOT CFR 49 Part 192, ASME, and NACE regulations where applicable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to document well and concisely discuss and deliver presentations on key/complex issues, gain consensus, and drive change with employees at all levels.
Proficiency in operating information technology for managing data for business decision making, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
