
Junior Project Designer

Responsibilities
Responsible for the production of conceptual and schematic level drawings, renderings, and diagrams under the direction of a more experienced designer to increase independence over time.
Direct development of innovative design concepts with project teams to produce constructable solutions.
Responsible for exterior material research and selections, and construction detailing to maintain design intent throughout the design process.
Responsible for client-facing and internal presentations.
Perform early programming and loading capacity studies.
Interface and collaborate with interior designers and landscape designers for cohesive overall designs.
Work with internal and external visualization designers to produce best‑class renderings and animations.
Help in the production of quality design awards, both locally and nationally.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (required).
Professional Degree and/or Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (preferred).
Proficient in Rhino, SketchUp, Test Fit, and other 3D modelling software.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD a plus.
Eventually, licensure will be expected.
3-5 years of professional experience.
A strong portfolio highlighting student work and any professional experience, if relevant.
A strong ability to multitask and pivot quickly between projects.
A strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
Strong sketching skills a plus.
LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus.
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects during the early stages, as well as assisting with Construction Management towards the end.
Excellent written + verbal communication skills, client and consultant relationship management.
We are looking for candidates who can work a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in the office) out of our office in Columbus, OH.
