
Payments Strategy Senior Analyst New York City

FanDuel is seeking a Payment Strategy Senior Analyst to join our dynamic Payment Strategy team. The Payment Strategy Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and performing strategic analysis to help inform and support payments initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience while reducing costs. This role partners with internal teams to shape and deliver FanDuel’s payments strategy across all products (Sportsbook, Casino, Prediction Markets, and more) and collaborates with Commercial, Product, and Analytics teams to innovate and optimize our payments stack.
Responsibilities
Assist in defining and driving the core priorities of the Payment Strategy function
Create analyses and financial models to evaluate and advance strategic initiatives
Partner with Commercial and Product Development teams to align on and execute key initiatives
Collaborate with Product Development teams during the rollout of new payment methods and customer experiences, providing insight into potential cost and business impact
Create and present material that leverages data and analysis to drive new payment strategies and business outcomes
Stay informed on the payments and fraud landscape, including industry trends and emerging technologies, to support and guide strategic decision‑making
Understand leadership’s strategic goals and performance targets to help report on and optimize results
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Finance, and Commercial teams to enhance user experience and improve cost efficiency
Support the ongoing evaluation and improvement of payment processes through automation, tooling enhancements, and the development of new solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics, or related field; MBA preferred
2+ years of finance experience preferably within the e-commerce, gaming, or financial services industry
Strong ability to create presentations, Excel models, and communications
Extremely detail oriented with superb organizational skills
Excellent knowledge of analytics tools and statistics to make data‑driven decisions and drive favorable outcomes
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills that allow effective interactions with business partners
Ability to work effectively in an environment of complexity, ambiguity, changing priorities and flex based on demand
Ability to balance customer wants and experiences with business finances and commercials
Experience and knowledge in payments strategy and processing a huge plus
Experience in sports betting and online gambling a huge plus
Benefits & Compensation Salary range : $79,000 – $99,000 USD, dependent on experience, location, and business needs. The role may offer medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; short‑term or long‑term incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and stock program participation; paid personal time off; 14 paid company holidays; and paid sick time in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
