Business Developer - Vacation Rental Industry
Who We Are RentItems is a rental technology company. We have created a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that puts items sitting idle in a garage, self-storage unit, retail store, or warehouse to better use. We provide individuals and businesses a new way to generate income and save money by renting instead of buying items that are needed temporarily and while traveling.
Summary RentItems is looking for a talented, energetic person to help us grow. We are searching for an experienced and self-driven Business Developer that is familiar with the vacation rental industry to join our team! As a Business Developer in the vacation travel space, you will identify business opportunities, build and maintain successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborate with executives on business strategy to determine objectives, and maximize business reach and potential. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision. This is a commission only position with stock options. Be a part of this startup from the ground level and make a difference. This is a full‑time position but circumstances may justify a 5‑10 hour commitment or 20‑hour commitment a week. Let’s get on a call to discuss where you’re at.
Responsibilities
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Manage both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
As examples, here is a list of companies and trade organizations we would work with: Airbnb, Vrbo, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Trivago, Priceline, Travelocity, Kayak, etc.
Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
Prepare sales contracts, and keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales and negotiation
