My client is actively seeking a
Technical
Director
to lead their application delivery across their enterprise environment.
This opportunity will be 3 days onsite in Lake Forest, IL
Summary We are seeking a highly technical and assertive Application Delivery Director to lead and deliver large-scale, complex initiatives within a fast-paced environment. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing multiple high-impact projects, ensuring successful execution from inception through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects (typically $1M–$2M in scope), ensuring timelines, quality, and business objectives are met
Coordinate and manage multiple concurrent initiatives, acting as the central point of leadership and accountability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive execution
Oversee the design and implementation of new digital portals (broker, employer, and employee)
Support ongoing platform management and system integrations
Lead and manage external contractors and vendor teams (experience with Cognizant or similar partners preferred)
Provide strong leadership, navigating complex environments and ensuring alignment across teams (“herding cats” effectively)
Technical Qualifications
Strong technical background with hands‑on experience in large-scale delivery environments
Familiarity with:
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS platforms
Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Azure Power Platform (Dataverse)
Modern development frameworks such as React, .NET, and/or Java
Ability to engage deeply with technical teams and guide architectural and delivery decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in insurance or related industries (not required)
Exposure to AI or emerging technology initiatives
