We are looking for a passionate and dedicated

BIM Lead

to join our Cities and Places team in

Boise, Idaho . As a BIM Lead, you’ll lead BIM strategy and digital delivery while shaping innovative, sustainable solutions across complex building and infrastructure projects.

This role will provide you with the ability to execute in a lead designer capacity as well as collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless information flow and model coordination. You will also develop and manage detailed design models, specifically for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and/or CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural).

What You’ll Do – BIM Management

Lead BIM adoption, digital delivery, and workflow optimization across multidisciplinary project teams.

Develop, maintain, and enforce firm‑wide BIM standards, templates, protocols, and project workflows.

Provide staff training, mentorship, and technical support for Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and other BIM tools.

Set up and manage BIM models, including worksets, templates, families, collaboration settings, and data structures.

Conduct and manage model coordination and clash detection using Revit, Navisworks, and ACC, ensuring clash‑free designs.

Coordinate BIM processes with consultants to ensure model alignment, compliance with standards, and smooth data exchange (COBie/IFC).

Produce accurate and comprehensive 3D models and generate associated 2D drawings and schedules directly from the BIM model.

Review, audit, and evaluate models, workflows, and software to support quality control and continuous improvement.

Develop and manage project specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Extract, analyze, and manage BIM data for design analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimation.

Provide BIM‑related guidance to project teams, resolving technical issues efficiently.

Stay current with BIM software advancements, best practices, and evolving industry standards.

Develop and implement automation and scripting workflows to enhance efficiency and model accuracy.

Here’s what you’ll need

5–15 years of BIM leadership or digital delivery experience, preferably within a design consultancy environment.

Proven experience with large, multidisciplinary design teams and complex projects across all phases.

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and ACC in multi‑disciplinary workflows.

Mastery of model coordination, clash detection, LOD standards, and BIM data management (e.g., COBie/IFC).

Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across remote offices.

Comprehensive understanding of building codes, design principles, construction methodologies, detailing, and overall project delivery.

Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.

Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office Applications.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with scripting/automation (Dynamo, Python), Revizto, and Autodesk Forma

Strong desire to grow and support Electrical design related to healthcare and higher education

The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $125,900.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
