In This Role, You Will
- Lead collaborative efforts to define and frame complex product concepts or needs with peer roles and generate multiple potential compelling solutions to advance the product direction.
- Negotiate for XD priorities considering both long-term strategy and direction and contributes to building experience roadmaps for team.
- Contribute to the development of both business metrics and experience success metrics, promoting harmony and alignment between them.
- Analyze and synthesize complex research and test findings to identify novel insights, considering multiple sources of information before drawing conclusions.
- Appropriately weigh research and test findings against other data points (e.g., technical, business) to make informed design decisions and determine the right solution.
- Convincingly communicate vision and crisp narratives to a range of internal and external stakeholders, through effective visual storytelling.
- Partner effectively with a range of external Business, Product and Engineering stakeholders, collaborating on requirements, concepts and deliverables where appropriate.
- Thoughtfully leverage emergent agentic design and prototyping tools to streamline design processes without compromising quality.
- Envision and propose agentic tactics and features in your designs, to drive the prioritization of cross-functional investments in a modern user experience.
- Design user interactions that optimize user engagement, product performance, and business impact.
- Define simple, elegant, trustworthy experiences and hold the team accountable to a high quality bar.
- Collaborate strategically with developers to ensure seamless implementation and understand the nuance between hard tech‑constraints and opportunities to challenge conventions.
- Comprehensively evaluate the system of connections and the library of tools and methodologies available to arrive at the optimal solution.
- Establish processes and facilitate rituals for both giving and receiving feedback within the XD group and across peer groups, and actively celebrate team successes.
- Work successfully through high levels of ambiguity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in User Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience working in User Experience Design or a related professional field.
- Experience translating product requirements into design strategy and then acting on that strategy to deliver proposed design solutions which meet those requirements.
- Experience mapping customer journeys and leveraging user stories and personas to inform design strategy.
- Experience crafting design deliverables at various fidelities, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
- Experience leveraging design systems and shared component libraries to ensure consistency and velocity.
- Experience thoughtfully leveraging emergent AI tools to streamline design processes without compromising quality.
- Experience collaborating with a range of diverse stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Content and Research.
- Ability to work successfully through high levels of ambiguity.
- Strong attention to design and visual detail.
- Knowledge of current design tools and software.
- A portfolio showcasing design skills representative of your work at each stage of a product life cycle, from conception to release, that details the team, thought processes, successes, and pivots along the way.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple devices, webviews and browsers.
- Experience in designing for human diversity (internationalization, localization, accessibility, etc.)
- Experience designing for agentic platforms and tools.
- Experience working on strategic partnerships.
- Experience presenting to executive audiences.
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
