Position Overview Position Summary: The Worship Resident will be given hands‑on experience and training in an effort to help them feel confident in all aspects of worship arts, including Worship Leading, Planning Services, Leading Volunteers, Training/Coaching Volunteers, Learning and Using tech equipment.
Position Details Status: Full‑Time Resident, Contracted, 40 hours/week
Weekly Schedule: Sundays (6:30 am–12:30 pm), Mondays‑Tuesdays (8:30 am–5:00 pm), Wednesdays (8:30 am–7:00 pm) and Thursdays (8:30 am–9:30 pm). Attendance at all Sunday services is required; attendance at other events may also be required.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the Lead Worship Pastor and Creative Arts Team to plan and execute services.
Develop relationships with all team members.
Set up Planning Center schedules and communicate with volunteers.
Attend and contribute to weekly Creative Arts Team meetings.
Assist the Lead Worship Pastor and other worship leaders in implementing creative elements within services.
Lead on stage each weekend.
Plan and participate in the SBYth Ministry BLITZ worship service the first Wednesday of each month.
Schedule volunteers, run rehearsals, and assist in setting up tech elements.
Spend time building relationships with students each Wednesday of SBYth programming before small groups begin.
Learn and develop tech skills: computer graphics, lights, sound, stage setup, cameras, and video editing to aid in communications.
Plan and utilize Creative Arts budgets.
