Senior Event Manager – Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach 551 N Ft Lauderdale Beach Blvd Ft. Lauderdale 33304. What will I be doing?

As Senior Event Services Manager, you will be responsible for event execution between the hotel and the customer during the meeting or event, acting as a liaison between the customer and the hotel. You will direct each department within the hotel regarding their role in the on‑site event, maximize revenues through effective upselling of products and services, and serve as the primary event planner contact during the event on property, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

Essential functions:

Provide direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during the execution of meetings and/or events.

Directly serve on‑site group and catering customers in a proactive manner.

Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.

Communicate timely to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.

Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes.

Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.

Sell and influence both internal and external clients.

Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues and determining the best solution.

Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.

Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.

Other duties as necessary based on business needs.

Maintain regular attendance.

What are we looking for?

Minimum of 2+ years of catering or event management experience.

Prior hotel event management experience preferred.

Experience with Delphi FDC or similar event management systems preferred.

Knowledge of the local market strongly preferred (relocation assistance not offered).

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on group/event needs.
