
Architectural Designer

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer with laboratory planning experience to support complex life sciences projects. This role is ideal for a designer who is comfortable working through detailed architectural drawings, coordinating lab equipment layouts, and contributing across all phases of design with a strong focus on construction administration.
Responsibilities
Support laboratory planning and design, including integration of biosafety cabinets, lab safety levels, and specialized equipment Develop accurate architectural drawings and documentation with strong attention to detail Locate and coordinate lab equipment within architectural plans Read, interpret, and produce architectural and construction drawings Contribute through all project phases, with particular expertise in the Construction Administration (CA) phase Prepare and support client presentations and design reviews Collaborate closely with project teams in a studio-based design environment Required Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in an architectural design firm or similar professional setting Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field Proven experience with laboratory planning and technical drafting Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite Strong presentation and graphic skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative studio environment Preferred Qualifications
California architectural registration (desired, not required) Deep understanding of lab safety requirements and technical constraints
