The Substation Foreman supervises and assists with the day-to-day activities of the substation employees and the project to which they are assigned, reporting directly to the Project Manager for the project. The Foreman must be able to perform the various duties from Groundman to Leadman on the job site. Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and execute the project plan to schedule and ensure compliance with budget. Supervise and coordinate all construction activities. Track and communicate weekly project reports and generate a 3-week look-ahead. Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards and design requirements. Initiate and conduct project meetings with staff assigned to the project and management if necessary. Review and address plan details, resolving issues before they result in added budget expenditures. Advise the Superintendent of potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties and assist in circumventing/resolving conflicts. Enforce site-specific plans and procedures aligned with EEI culture and safety requirements. Review and submit weekly timesheets to payroll for processing. Maintain the project’s daily job diary. Qualifications

Minimum Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook and internal operational systems. Ability to apply basic engineering principles to construction challenges. Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate constructability issues and embed solutions in the construction plans and schedules. Must be able to schedule, monitor, and forecast resources for optimum efficiency. Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project and assume responsibility. Preferred Obtain and maintain a valid State Class A driver’s license and/or hold and maintain a valid commercial driver’s License. OSHA 30. Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job operates in a field environment. The role requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting, and exposure to inclement weather (extreme heat/cold, rain, ice, snow, wind). The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential functions. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for distance and near, color vision, and precise hand-eye coordination are required.
