Position Summary
At Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better. As an Associate Merchant, you’ll be an advocate for our customers and turn product ideas into reality across our stores and online. You will serve as a category expert, leveraging Walmart’s scale and resources to drive profitable growth, improve the customer experience, and impact the lives of millions of customers worldwide.

Setting the category strategy: establishing strategy, managing budgets to drive profitable growth, and using vision and creativity to improve the customer experience.
Building relationships: using your influencing and leadership skills to partner with suppliers, vendors, business partners, and other Associate Merchants.
Making decisions about nearly every aspect of your products, including replenishment, supply chain, manufacturers, store operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, modules, and pricing.
Designing, developing, and launching products: working with our Product Development and Sourcing team to create new products for Private Brands.
Knowing your category: knowing your customers and suppliers better than anyone and always thinking about what is next for your business.

Salary The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 – $130,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may also include stock.
Minimum Qualifications 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Office, negotiating with third‑party suppliers, pricing, site merchandising, planning or inventory, or related area.
Bachelor’s: Business or Merchandising.
