Credit & Collections Specialist
A well-established company in Lake Worth is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to join their accounting team. This role is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, overseeing collections activity, and supporting cash flow through timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances. Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $50,000$58,000 annually (DOE) Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, including credit reviews and collections activity Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances via phone and email Research and resolve billing discrepancies, unapplied cash, short pays, and disputes Work with customers to establish payment plans and resolve credit issues Apply payments and assist with cash application as needed Maintain accurate documentation and collection notes in the system Partner with Sales and Accounting to resolve account issues and minimize risk Assist with credit approvals and account setup for new customers Escalate high-risk or severely delinquent accounts when appropriate Qualifications
2+ years of experience in credit and/or collections Strong understanding of accounts receivable and aging Professional, firm, and customer-friendly communication style Experience resolving disputes and working with high-volume accounts Proficient with accounting systems and Excel Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills
