Blunier Builders, Inc. a growing post-frame construction company based in Washington, IL is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Agent to join our team. We specialize in agricultural, residential, and commercial post-frame buildings and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects efficiently and on time.
Job Responsibilities
Order and track materials for construction projects to ensure timely delivery
Cross reference blueprints and material lists to ensure order accuracy
Comply with all relevant building codes
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to align with project schedules
Evaluate supplier performance and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
Job Qualifications
2+ years in the construction industry experience preferably in construction purchasing
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Strong understanding of building codes, construction materials, and industry standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
