Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to support critical applications and initiatives for a large public sector program. The ideal candidate will lead user-centered design efforts, conduct research, and deliver intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement applications that support educational and community-focused programs. We prefer W2 candidate for this role. Key Responsibilities
Lead UX/UI design projects from discovery through development handoff Conduct user research and create artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and research findings Design wireframes, prototypes, and user flows based on business and user needs Perform usability testing and validate design decisions with stakeholders Translate design concepts into functional front-end solutions Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation Analyze data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement Maintain project documentation using tools like Jira, SharePoint, etc. Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 / 2.1) Stay updated with latest UX/UI and web design trends Required Skills & Technologies
Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap Design Tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure RP Collaboration Tools: Mural, Lucidchart, MS Visio Development Tools: Visual Studio Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design Minimum 4+ years of experience in user research and usability testing Hands‑on experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision Strong knowledge of Human‑Centered Design principles Experience designing applications compliant with WCAG accessibility standards Preferred Skills
Experience working in public sector or education-related projects Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
