Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
About the Position This on‑campus, in‑person role assists the Assistant AD for Ticket Operations with managing the Ticket Office and ticketed SMU sports events, including ticketed facility rentals, NCAA tournaments, NIT games, conference championships, etc.
The Assistant Director serves as the primary ticket manager for women’s basketball and volleyball and assists with football operations.
Collaboration with Ticket Sales and Marketing ensures a highly executed departmental strategy for Ticket Operations.
Essential Functions
Lead ticket operations for women’s basketball and volleyball, and assist with football and other SMU hosted events.
Assist with financial reconciliation, deposits, and transactions.
Assist with obtaining Mustang Club donations while providing the highest level of customer service.
Collaborate with Ticket Sales and Marketing to execute an effective departmental strategy for Ticket Operations.
Assist with overseeing the student worker program.
Position requires regular evening or weekend work during football, volleyball, and men’s/women’s basketball season.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum one year of ticket office experience, including financial reconciliation.
Experience in collegiate athletics preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop relationships with diverse constituencies.
Strong written communication, customer‑service orientation.
Strong problem‑solving skills to identify, analyze, and devise solutions.
Organizational, planning and time‑management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently; strong attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of Paciolan Ticketing System preferred.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Sit for long periods of time.
Carry/lift 25–50 lbs.
Walk for long distances.
Reach above shoulders.
