Overview
Rockland County Sewer District No. 1 is seeking an experienced engineering professional to support the planning, design, and construction of critical sewer infrastructure. This role involves reviewing engineering studies, monitoring project progress, and ensuring the effective operation of sewer system facilities. The position also includes administrative responsibilities such as supervising staff, assisting with budgeting, and supporting overall district operations. Candidates should have strong knowledge of civil and sanitary engineering principles and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced public sector environment. Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a professional engineer's license issued by the State of New York, the qualifications for which must have included or been supplemented by three (3) years of experience in civil or sanitary engineering, one (1) year of which must have been primarily concerned with the design and/or construction of large-scale sewer lines or treatment plants.
