Position Overview
Associate Director of Payor Relations – Responsible for initiating, managing, and expanding relationships with third‑party payors to support the Advanced Respiratory division. Responsibilities
Initiate, manage and expand contracted relationships with third‑party payors at desired reimbursement rates and payment terms. Develop, maintain and execute a quarterly strategic and tactical plan focused on gaining contracts with targeted payers for the company’s services. Coordinate and prioritize payor relationships to ensure they fit with, support, and complement the customer base and the current efforts and focus of the Sales Team. Explore and target multiple payor types, including MCOs, HMOs, PPOs, IPAs, self‑insured employers, unions, etc. Understand and build relationships with key influencers in new healthcare models (ACO’s, IHN’s, PCMH’s) and/or large employer groups. Educate Sales and Marketing Teams and other departments on the current healthcare payor landscape, and collaborate with the Sales team to drive utilization pre‑contract and post‑contract. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. 5+ years of recent successful experience in healthcare-related sales contracting with payor/insurance organizations. Proven leadership experience, including successful contracting and negotiating skills. Knowledge of respiratory products and diseases preferred but not required. Demonstrated success in communicating and presenting to senior-level payor executives. Strong relationships with payor organizations within a designated market. Minimal travel required. Compensation
Estimated base pay range: $152,000 – $209,000 annually, with additional incentive compensation potential. Benefits
