Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon California is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to hiring, managing staff, all aspects of irrigation control and nightly watering, spraying/applying herbicides and fungicides, and general course maintenance and set up. This is an excellent position for an assistant looking to move up to a Superintendent role or someone looking to relocate to the area.
30 year Superintendent is retiring in June and going to part time to help transition the new Superintendent into the role. Cottonwood has an antiquated irrigation system that needs a lot of love and care. The current Superintendent will help assist in educated the new Superintendent on the ins and outs of the system before fully retiring.
Cottonwood is currently going through multiple facility upgrades and updates. This could potentially lead to large improvements to the golf course as well. Cottonwood is also awaiting delivery of a new Toro golf maintenance equipment package from top to bottom.
Past experience as an assistant superintendent or current superintendent is required. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break through into the superintendent role or have a career reset.
