Pool Attendant
Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager, the incumbent oversees and assists with the daily responsibilities of the Pool front-line personnel. Essential duties and responsibilities include adhering to Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures, supervising the pool & spa area to ensure facilities are maintained in accordance with established policies, assisting with employee evaluations and administering established training programs, ensuring quality customer service, communicating/coordinating with Engineering on pool & spa maintenance issues, managing the inventory and stock of supplies for the department, handling unique guest requests using extensive knowledge of the Resort Casino as well as surrounding areas, performing work of subordinates as needed, promoting positive public/employee relations at all times, maintaining a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility, and performing all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED as well as one (1) year of pool & spa experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required. Additional requirements include well-developed customer service techniques and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with pool guests, ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience, commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals, ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor, excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, outstanding interpersonal and guest service skills, ability to lead and mentor a team, ability to interact with a diverse team of individuals, and superior organizational and time management skills. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
