Construction Site Manager Job Description
Lead day-to-day field operations for tilt-wall projects from site mobilization through turnover. Plan and direct panel casting, lifting/rigging operations, and bracing sequences in coordination with the crane plan and structural engineer of record. Own the three-week look-ahead, short-interval planning, and daily coordination meetings. Drive strict safety compliance (OSHA, company standards) and pre-task planning with all trades. Oversee layout/QC for foundations, slab, panel forms, embeds, reveals, openings, and tie-ins to steel/roof systems. Manage subcontractor performance, manpower loading, deliveries, equipment, and site logistics (crane paths, laydown, brace clearances). Collaborate with the Project Manager on schedule, cost, change events, and client communications; maintain daily reports and inspection documentation. Lead punch, panel patch/caulk, and closeout to achieve on-time, high-quality delivery. 5-10+ years of field leadership with at least 2-3 tilt-wall shells (industrial, warehouse, office, or institutional). (Tilt-wall = panels cast on site and lifted into position; experience with panel geometry, lift inserts, rigging plans, and bracing is required.) Proven capability sequencing panel forming, pour/strip, tilt/brace, and steel/roof integration under compressed schedules. Strong working knowledge of crane operations planning (radius, picks, rigging, pick points, wind criteria) and safety during lifts. Proficiency reading structural/MEP drawings, panel shop drawings, lift diagrams, and connection details. Excellent subcontractor management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Willingness to travel frequently (multi-week rotations) and lead out-of-market projects originating from Nashville. What's on Offer
