Senior Business Analyst / Process Analyst - Municipal IT
Position Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will support enterprise IT initiatives by conducting business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation within a municipal government environment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops Document current-state and future-state workflows Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) Perform gap and impact analysis Support vendor evaluation and solution assessments Assist in system testing (UAT) Support change management and user adoption
Required Skills: Requirements elicitation and documentation Process mapping (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) Gap analysis Functional specification writing Workshop facilitation SDLC knowledge
Required Experience: 6-10+ years business analysis experience Experience working in municipal or state government settings Experience with ERP, finance, public safety, HR, or permitting systems Ability to work independently and advise leadership
Preferred Certifications: CBAP (preferred) PMI-PBA (preferred) ITIL (nice to have)
Notes: Hybrid Travel: Occasional onsite presence required
