
Director, Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

Job purpose
Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering and Support, the purpose of this role is to act as the senior design influence within the technology team.
He/she is expected to partner and lead with existing subject matter experts in technology architecture providing thought leadership to technical strategy, including driving product roadmaps, reviewing and analyzing current architecture and its ability to support strategic objectives.
Essential Function / major duties and responsibilities of the job Strategic
Engage with senior business and IT leaders to develop a macro view of current and future state of business and technology architecture closely aligned to the business strategy. Advises and recommends enterprise architecture strategies, processes and methodologies. Research and assess potential technology target state solutions on the market in alignment with strategic direction. Operational
Develops & maintains enterprise architecture including IT roadmaps and strategies Defines and governs enterprise architectural principles and standards by which technology solutions and designs are developed. Provides Enterprise Architecture oversight to delivery projects ensuring alignment to strategy, identifying risks and proposing any mitigations Create and present technology strategy and target state to internal and external clients and stakeholders Leadership
Provide support to IT Architects and other technology teams working on delivery projects to ensure new systems are integrated into the existing architecture in an optimized and strategic manner. Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues.
Experience / essential and desired for successful job performance
Practical experience in a senior solution architect role designing, integrating and managing complex technology solutions, preferably within financial services. An expert in applying and developing robust enterprise architecture processes and methodologies for effective technical governance
Qualifications / certifications
Bachelor and/or Master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience The following qualifications are advantageous, but not essential:
Architecture Certification (TOGAF, CITA, RHCA etc)
Knowledge, skills and abilities / competencies required for successful job performance
Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal Skilled in analysis and interpretation of large, complex IT/technology products and services including modeling, graphical representations and abstractions. Ability to organize complex technology solutions, that include specific technology deliverables, roadmaps, timelines, operational requirements and budgets impacts Ability to create cloud-based architectural patterns and solutions at an enterprise level Experience with at least three of the following domains: cloud, analytics, data management, infrastructure, access channels, security, applications, software engineering, networking, or systems integration preferred
