Sr. Collections Specialist Construction
Pay Range: $30.00-$33.00 per hour Temporary to Hire | Onsite | Pasadena, CA Our client, a well-established construction company in Pasadena, is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their accounting team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone with construction or commercial collections experience who understands the nuances of lien releases, pay applications, and job-related billing. Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts receivable and collections for active and closed construction projects Perform business collections via phone and email in a professional manner Track and follow up on past-due invoices to ensure timely payment Prepare, submit, and track lien waivers, preliminary notices, and releases Assist with payment applications (AIA, T&M, and progressive billing) Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short pay, and deductions Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, and internal accounting teams Maintain accurate documentation related to job compliance and collections status Support month-end AR reporting as needed Qualifications
2+ years of collections or accounts receivable experience Construction industry experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of lien laws, waivers, and construction billing processes Comfortable handling high-volume collections and multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and follow-up skills Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience with construction or accounting ERP systems is a plus Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour Search managed by: Ryan Sydow Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
