
Director of Information Technology

Position Overview
This full‑time, on‑site Director of Information Technology role, located in Houston, TX, oversees all facets of the organization’s technology operations. Responsibilities include IT strategy development, infrastructure oversight, cybersecurity leadership, and collaboration with organizational leadership to implement secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Hires and trains outside IT consultants and IT staff as needed.
- Provides oversight and guidance to IT staff and consultants.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns IT projects.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of IT personnel as appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of organizational IT systems.
- Coordinates and maintains cybersecurity programs and protocols.
- Develops business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Establishes IT efficiency standards and drives process improvements.
- Analyzes system performance, operating costs, and upgrade requirements.
- Oversees the security of networks, systems, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
- Manages external IT vendors and service partnerships.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems, including ERP integrations.
- Oversees administration of hardware, software, and enterprise applications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Expertise in IT management and day‑to‑day IT operations.
- Strong strategic planning and IT framework understanding.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity and risk mitigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to align IT strategy with organizational goals.
- Industry experience in energy or construction is advantageous.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT department leadership experience.
- Ability to travel to Dallas, San Antonio, and field locations as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
